DARE TO LEAD™

Brave Work.

Tough Conversations.

Whole Hearts.

Become the more confident, courageous and energetic leader you strive to be. No matter what your starting point, understand and tackle what gets in the way, develop your courage skills, and lead from your values and trust.

In 2012, I became very curious about the work of Dr. Brenè Brown on worthiness, vulnerability, resilience, and shifting from scarcity to wholeheartedness.

At that time, I was introduced to Dr. Brown`s TED Talk that went viral (over 55,000,000 views as at November 2021).

It captured my attention as I listened to what she shared about her research because what she was saying, and what was backed up by over a decade of her research, paralleled what I have experienced in my coaching and relationships with others including my relationship with myself.

Since then, I have taken The Daring Way™ and Dare to Lead™ training (based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown *) and am a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator (2018).

I am trained to deliver the Dare to Lead™ facilitated curriculum and am delivering this in organizations.   Contact me to explore bringing this pivotal work to your organization, team or group.

Brené Brown’s now over 20 years of research, the last 7 based on leadership and organizational culture, has shown that: “We need braver leaders and more courageous cultures.”

This was the answer to the following question that she asked leaders: “What, if anything, about the way people are leading today needs to change in order for leaders to be successful in a complex, rapidly changing environment where we’re faced with seemingly intractable challenges and an insatiable demand for innovation?”

I understand the pivotal nature of this meaningful work from personal experience and am passionate about supporting others to become the brave leaders that can support the creation of more courageous cultures.

This work positively impacts people in all of their roles be they leaders, business owners, parents, or individuals.

  • The more you honour yourself and the more authentic you are, the more you can show up and share of yourself in a naturally, meaningful way.
  • You become strong within yourself, a place where you stand for what is true for you, set boundaries in a respectful way, and build upon your own self compassion and empathy.
  • You delegate more effectively; you give and receive meaningful positive and constructive feedback; and you have the tough conversations that take courage and grit.
  • You say ‘Yes!’ when you want to and not because you feel you have to in order to fit in or meet others’ perceived perceptions.
  • This builds self trust as well as leads to trust and depth in relationships in all areas of your life.

Note: This work may be done in live group workshops or individually in person or by webinar. Let’s design a program that works for you or your group.

Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building program designed to be facilitated by organizational development professionals.

The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage building skills through workshops, trainings, and coaching to help individuals, teams, and organizations move from armored leadership to daring leadership.

Individuals who successfully complete the full 24-hour Dare to Lead™ program will receive a certificate of completion and are allowed to put the Dare to Lead Trained badge on their LinkedIn account.
